Description

Sugar Creek Covered Bridge is just south of Springfield, Illinois where I grew up. It's a beautiful historical covered bridge that is no longer in use, but has been turned into a park with trails that meander along the creek. It's a stunning bridge to photograph and I try to visit every few years. This was taken on an Autumn visit back home. I utilized my digital paint program on this image, because, if I were a better painter, this is a scene I'd like to paint.
